Meadow Hall has been awarded the Council of British International School (COBIS) Patron’s Accredited Member status.

Meadow Hall has been awarded the Council of British International School (COBIS) Patron’s Accredited Member status.

The award is coming on the heels of the COBIS recent week-long Compliance and Accreditation visit to the school to ensure it meets the high standards required to receive full membership status, which is renewable every five years.

With this recent accreditation, Meadow Hall has upgraded its membership status from COBIS Associate Member to COBIS Patron’s Accredited Member.

COBIS is an educational institution that exists to provide quality assurance in member schools, as well as support and represent member schools to ensure the advancement of interests of British schools overseas, with over 400-member organisations in 79 countries.

During the visit, COBIS’ representatives spoke to teaching and non-teaching staff, parents and students and also thoroughly reviewed all the classrooms, processes and outdoor facilities to come up with their verdict.

The peer accreditation team from COBIS also focused on the COBIS compliance system, which includes Recruitment, Student Welfare, Facilities, Governance, Ethos and Values and Boarding; as well as COBIS accrediting standards, which covers Learning, Teaching and Leadership in the School, with Meadow Hall receiving an excellent rating and exceeding the standard required in all categories.
