Muhammadu Buhari, President of Nigeria

To find permanent solution to the minimum wage controversy, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Lagos Central, Chief Adesunbo Onitiri asked the Federal Government to boost states and councils’ finances to enable them pay N30, 000.

He wants President Buhari to propose and implement a new revenue formula, to boost financial base of the two tiers, in order to give the people dividends and wipe out poverty in the land.

“Currently, our local councils are totally dysfunctional. If they are well funded, poverty and sufferings will be reduced in the society,” he said.
