A 41-year-old commercial motorcyclist in Asaba, Delta State, identified as Ifeanyi (surname withheld), and a housewife, Mrs. Eunice (surname also withheld), have been arrested by Police detectives attached to the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for conspiracy, among others.

According to reports, the cyclist was allegedly hired by the housewife to rape her husband’s girlfriend, an 18-year-old sales girl living in Camp 74 Quarters, Asaba last weekend.

It was reliably gathered that the husband of the woman had allegedly been sleeping with the sales girl.

The source said the woman claimed that her husband no longer made love to her, but to her rival, whom she also described as a husband snatcher.

State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ibrahim Zanna, who confirmed the incident, said the suspects were arrested on a tip-off after the housewife ran into the sales girl along Nnebisi road, Asaba and seized her cell phone after warning her to leave her husband.

He said: “We have arrested the suspects after they conspired to disgrace the sales girl. The housewife confessed to have hired the cyclist to rape the girl.”
