Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI) has asked Nigerian Muslims to pray against political irresponsibility and the high rate of corruption in the country.

The religious body also reminded Muslim ummah (community) not to forget to pray for the country over the increasing spate of killings, kidnapping and armed robbery.

JNI secretary-general and Wazirin Sokoto, Dr. Abubakar Khalid-Aliyu, stated at the weekend that the only way the country would come out of the challenges was for Muslims to pray for God’s intervention in the affairs of the country this Ramadan.

The statement entitled ‘The Last 10 Days of Ramadan: The Peak of Worship and the Need for Secret Conversation with Allah for Special Invocation Over the Relief of Nigeria’s Challenges’ reminds the faithful of the significance of the last lap of the Ramadan fast and prayer.
