Governor Nyesom Wike has said the various projects initiated and executed by his administration in parts of Rivers would create employment for a good number of youths in the state.

Acknowledging the attendant cost implication, he stated that his government had paid 80 per cent of the fee for road dualisation to Julius Berger, which is also handling the two new flyovers.

He spoke in Port Harcourt, the state capital while inspecting ongoing projects in Obio/Akpor and Port Harcourt Local Councils.

A statement by his media aide, Kelvin Ebiri, said the quantum of civil construction work undertaken by the Wike administration in developing the state might be cost-intensive, but added that the “overall benefits remain a driving force.”
