The Executive Secretary of National Agricultural Land Development Authority (NALDA), Engr. Cornelius Adebayo, has reiterated the commitment of the Authority to transforming Nigeria’s agricultural sector.
Speaking at a capacity building workshop for State Coordinators of the Authoriry in the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in Abuja, he charged the state coordinators to key into the 2031 Strategic Vision of the federal government in ensuring that the Authority delivers on its statutory mandate to achieve food security and sovereignty for the country
The DG while speaking on the theme of the workshop “Steering NALDA Towards Excellence (From Vision To Abundance, Creating Strategic Alignment To Drive Results and Scale Impact),’ Adebayo noted that the retreat was organised to align the coordinators with the vision of the management to ensure synergy and diligent implementation of the Authority’s initiatives and projects.
He mentioned “Just a few weeks ago, we held a retreat for the directors and Heads of departments and units of the Authority and we believe that we would have a structural problem if there is a disconnect between the headquarters and state coordinators, hence this retreat. ”
Adebayo added that as NALDA’s field officers in the 36 states and FCT, the coordinators are in charge of the execution of the Authority’s projects in their areas of jurisdictions.
He stated that being at the centre of the execution of NALDA’s projects., he charged the contractors to leave the retreat with a new mindset that you are part of a new beginning to transform Nigeria’s agricultural sector.
“Nigeria is waiting for you. Together, we can build Nigeria of our dreams and NALDA is at the centre of achieving that.”
