The National Watch is organising a special summit on national security to address Nigeria’s ongoing security challenges. The event, titled “National Security: Appraisal, Assessment of Security Efforts, Interventions, Challenges, Achievements, and Way Forward, 2024 Under Review,” will take place tomorrow, Thursday, September 19, at the Lagos Oriental Hotel (Ball Room), Ozumba Mbadiwe Avenue, Victoria Island.

The summit aims to bring together experts, policymakers, and stakeholders to evaluate Nigeria’s security landscape, share experiences, and develop a unified approach to addressing the country’s security concerns.

The outcome is expected to influence policy decisions and improve Nigeria’s security framework, making it a significant moment in Nigeria’s efforts to enhance national security.

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila will grace the special summit. The National Security Adviser(NSA), Nuhu Ribadu, Minister For Finance & Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Wale Edun, Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Dr. Cardoso, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Group Managing Director, Nigeria National Petroluem, Corporation Limited (NNPCL), Alhaji Mele Kolo Kyari, among others are also expected.
