NDLEA arrests four suspected drug dealers in Rivers

Operatives of the Rivers State Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have arrested four suspected drug peddlers during a raid that lasted for one hour in Onne, Eleme Council of Rivers State.

The command destroyed shanties and shades, which served as smoking joints and hideouts for criminal elements around the trailer park located in the council.

The spokesman of the command, Emmanuel Ogbugbada said about 1,085 and 6-kilogrammes of hard drugs and psychotropic substances were seized during the raid.

He said: “NDLEA Rivers State Command raided a notorious drug joint at a trailer park at Onne. The raid operation resulted in the four suspects who were apprehended with a total of one thousand and eighty-five and six kilograms of assaulted hard drugs. The suspects and exhibits were moved to the agency’s state command headquarters for further investigation.”

Ogbugbada cautioned drug dealers in the area to desist from the act, as there will no longer be a hiding place for them.
