Ned Nwoko to host summit on Anioma State creation Aug 31st

Senator Ned Nwoko representing Delta North Senatorial District at the National Assembly is set to convene a stakeholders’s summit to chart a common course on the creation of Anioma as the 37th state in the federation.

According to a statement from the office of the senator, the Stakeholders’s summit with the theme “Renewed Quest for the Creation of Anioma State” would hold on Saturday 31st August ,2024 at Grand Hotel Asaba,beginning from 10 am.

The Summit would be attended by personages from all walks of life as well as traditional rulers, president Generals of communities in the nine local government areas of Delta North,youth groups,women bodies and professional organizations among others.

The epoc making event would deliberate on the historical evolution of the agitation for Anioma state creation dating over 50 years, political and economic potentials of Anioma.

It would be recalled that Senator Ned Nwoko recently initiated a bill for the creation of Anioma State,a development that had generated widespread robust debate across the nation.

The bill had passed first reading on the Senate floor and the forthcoming Stakeholders’s summit at the Delta capital is expected to provide profound insights on the proposed Anioma state.
