New book on LG reforms for launch August 25

A new book put together on how to reposition Local Council administration titled, ‘Local Government Administration in Nigeria: Evolution, Reforms and Practice,’ authored by Chukwuma Nwachukwu, will be unveiled on Thursday, August 25, 2022, in Owerri, Imo State.

According to the Managing Director of Africana First Publishers, Austin Onwubiko, the book, apart from being a body of insights, is also a deftly written account and the most valuable compendium on the trajectory of local council administration in Nigeria. It also offers insights on how to reposition the third tier of government.

The author, Nwachukwu, is an economic development strategist.

The special guest of honour is the Commissioner of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Imo State, Rubby Emele, while the book presenter will be Joe Anosike, managing director, Survicom Ltd.
