“For any business to thrive in a dynamic market like Nigeria, new ideas and product innovation is not only necessary but highly important.”

The Chief Operations Officer, Dufil Prima Foods, Adesh Jain, who also maintained that innovation would continue to take centre stage in delivering quality products to the Nigerian market, disclosed this.

According to him, the successful exploitation of new ideas is crucial to a business being able to improve its processes, introduce new and improved products and services to the market, increase efficiency and most importantly, improve profitability.

Adesh pointed out that though Dufil Prima Foods have maintained dominance in the noodles market in the country for close to three decades, they can’t rest on their oars because the market environments, whether local, regional, national or global is becoming more competitive, hence, the need to do more.

He stated further that the company have consistently adapted to the changing marketplace over the years, pointing that in 2017, the firm consolidated its dominance by acquiring plants of Dangote Noodles Limited, a subsidiary of Dangote Flour Mills Plc.

Meanwhile data from the World Instant Noodles Association (WINA) has revealed that Nigeria is currently among the largest consumers of instant noodles, with 1.92 million servings as at May 2020, and ranked 11th in global demand for noodles.
