New monarch donates, commissions mass-transit shuttle service
The newly elected traditional ruler of Lilu community in Ihiala Council of Anambra State, Dr. Godson Onyediri, has commenced the fulfillment of his key promises to the community by flagging off shuttle bus services to ease the people’s transportation challenges.
In a brief remark while cutting the tape and presenting the keys of the buses to the president general of the community, Mr. Silas Ejikeme, the monarch said the buses were part fulfillment of his earlier promise to revolutionise commuter transportation in and around the community for the benefit of his subjects, vowing to fulfill the remaining promises within the next six weeks.
He stated that the gesture, which attracted some illustrious sons of the community, including Chiefs Hillary Obiado, Felix Ojukwu and Jerry Nwanoneze, was to uplift the economic and living standard of Lilu people.
The monarch also acknowledged the contributions of the National Vice of Ndi Eze in Diaspora, Dr. Omenife Olikenyi, who is already completing the centralised bus stop in the community.
