There is need for Nigeria and Christians to seek peace and reconciliation with God, says the new Prelate of the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria (PCN), Dr. Ekpenyong Akpanika.

There is a need for Nigeria and Christians to seek peace and reconciliation with God, says the new Prelate of the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria (PCN), Dr. Ekpenyong Akpanika.

Apkanika, who moderated the 25th General Assembly, emerged as the new Prelate at the weekend during the celebration of PCN 176th anniversary at Hope Waddel Parish in Calabar, Cross River State.

In his speech after being decorated by his predecessor, Nzie Eke, the new prelate said before the message of peace and unity would get to the society at large, the Church should seek oneness among its members.

Congratulating his fellow contestants, Akpanika said the victory was for all who contested the office of the Prelate.

“I am overwhelmed by the massive vote and confidence reposed in me by over 800 commissioners to serve the Church in this capacity. My promise to God and all of you here is that I will not disappoint God and the confidence you have reposed in me. Together, I promise, we will build and realise the Presbyterian Church of our dream.”
