New Rano emir pledges security, agric development
Emir of Rano in Kano State, Dr. Tafida Abubakar-Ila, has said that youth development, agriculture and security would be his priority.
The new first class emir said this yesterday while receiving members of the National Council of Nigeria Youths (NCYC), National Association of Kano State Students (NAKSS) and other youth organisations in his palace.
He said: “The issue of security is sensitive; therefore there is the need to give it special attention to allow the economy of our area grow.
“We are also going to do everything possible to enhance the modern agricultural process to make it easy and more profitable for our farmers.”
Abubakar-Ila, therefore, called on wealthy individuals in the emirate to help promote agriculture.
