NGO awards scholarship to 65 Nigerian students
I-Scholar initiative (iSI), a not-for-profit organisation with a mission to mentor and empower young African students in fulfilling their dreams to pursue graduate studies via access to fully-funded scholarships in world-class foreign universities, has announced that 65 Nigerians as winners of its 2022 scholarship awards.
From a total of 1,450 applicants, who applied for the 2022 scholarship, a total of 65 successful candidates have been selected through rigorous screening and procedures.
The scholars were announced at a well-attended ceremony, which was held virtually on June 4.
In her opening remarks, Chairperson, Board of Trustees (BoT), Mrs. Tolulope Ewherido, charged the beneficiaries to be exemplary.
Represented by a BoT member, Iyabode Attah, the chairperson charged the beneficiaries with improving and making Nigeria proud.
The organisation’s president, Victor Ogunmola, said the scholarship, also enjoys full mentorship from partners.
