NHSOBA ’82 Set commends Otti for appointing Uzoije as commissioner

The Ngwa High School Abaiyi, Aba, Old Boys Association 1982 set, has described Abia State Governor, Alex Chioma Otti, as a God-sent leader, who has demonstrated over the last two years that his mission is to transform the state into the prosperous industrial land envisaged by its founding fathers.

Pointing to Otti’s choice of commissioners and other aides, the group said the governor’s decision to rally all qualified Abia State indigenes in his quest to restore the state’s position as the commercial hub of the South East has emboldened the people to dream of a state where everything is achievable with hard work.

Rising from its monthly general meeting in Aba, the NHSOBA ’ 82 set, led by Chief Paulinus Ashiegbu, commended Otti for finding one of its members, Arc. Chiemela Uzoije, worthy of joining his cabinet as a commissioner.

In a statement signed by Ashiegbu, ObiomaNwadiogu, ChimaAmaugo, Victor Egege and Christopher Nwachukwu, the group said: “We, the entire 1982 set of NHSOBA, are grateful to God Almighty and thankful to you immensely for finding one of us, Arc. Chiemela Uzoije, worthy of serving your administration as Commissioner for Housing in Abia State.

“We thank you once again in hundred folds and pray to God fervently to guide, protect, direct, and give you grace, more wisdom and understanding to continue to pilot the affairs of Abia State.

“We believe that with the new appointments, Abia State will continue to witness the transformation you have brought to it since coming to power in 2023.

“We, hereby, pledge that we are ready and willing to help your mission of restoring Abia’s glory in whatever capacity you deem fit.”
Governor Otti recently appointed two commissioners to his cabinet. They are Uzoije, who is now Commissioner forHousing and Public Buildings and Dr. Salome Obiukwu, who is the new Commissioner for Trade and Commerce.
