Niger gov suspends IBBUL vice chancellor

Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has approved the suspension of the Vice Chancellor of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University (IBBUL), Lapai, Professor Abu Kasim Adamu.

The Guardian learned that the governor also ordered the Vice Chancellor to hand over the affairs of the institution to the next-ranking professor.

It was gathered that Professor Adamu was due to complete his tenure in two months and had been accused of insubordination and disobedience to constituted authority by the state government.

Meanwhile, Professor Hassan Ibrahim has been appointed as the acting Vice Chancellor.
