
YCE Congratulates Tinubu 
The Yoruba Council of Elders (YCE) and a former minister of education and former Nigerian Ambassador to the United States of America, Prof. Tunde Adeniran, yesterday, congratulated Nigerians on the occasion of the 63rd Independence celebration, calling on the Federal Government to work towards restructuring the Federation.
The Secretary-General of YCE, Chief Oladipo Oyewole and Prof. Adeniran stated this in separate messages made available to The Guardian in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
YCE specifically congratulated President Bola Tinubu for the celebration.
Oyewole said: “Nigeria at 63: YCE congratulates PBAT for coming thus far. The YCE also believes that restructuring is a way of putting Nigeria back to the path of its destiny to prosperity, security and safety of lives and properties.
“We urge Mr. President to forgive Sunday Igboho and Professor Akintoye and allow them freedom to return to Nigeria.”
Prof. Adeniran, on his part, said: “Wishing all Nigerians greater understanding, a timely march toward a new Constitution, a restructured Nigeria, justice, peace and all-round development.”
