Dankwambo is Gombe North PDP senatorial candidate
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senatorial primary in Gombe State, yesterday, ended with the former Governor, Hassan Dankwambo, emerging as consensus candidate for Gombe North.
Tony Yaro emerged the candidate for Gombe South with 59 votes against Binta Bello, who polled 57.
In Gombe Central, Abubakar Aliu won with 59 votes to beat Muhammadu Baba who got three votes.
However, the name of former Governor Danjuma Goje representing Gombe Central in the Senate on All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket surprisingly appeared n the ballot sheets with zero vote.
Goje had been having a running battle with the state APC over his senatorial bid.
