The leadership of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Edo State Branch, has paid a courtesy visit to the Esama of the Benin Kingdom, Sir Chief Dr Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion, to mark his 92nd birthday.
 The delegation, led by the Edo NMA Chairman, Dr Andrew Eigbedion, visited Igbinedion at his Garden of Eden Residence, Okada Avenue, GRA, Benin City.
 Eigbedion congratulated the Esama on behalf of the more than 1,500 doctors in Edo State and commended his contributions to the development of Edo State, Nigeria, and beyond.

 He also prayed for the Esama’s continued good health, strength, and many more years of celebration.
 A major highlight of the visit was the presentation of a commemorative photo frame to Igbinedion on behalf of the Edo NMA.

 Responding, Igbinedion expressed appreciation to the association for identifying with him on his birthday and beyond the celebrations.
 He called for the existing relationship and synergy between the Esama and the Edo NMA to be sustained and further strengthened.

 The visit also featured interaction between the delegation and the celebrant, who hosted the doctors for lunch.
 Members of the delegation included the Deputy Chairman, Dr Ehigiegba Oduware; Secretary, Dr Akerele William; Financial Secretary, Dr Ofotokun Iguehi; Public Relations Officer, Dr Alari-Enoma Edosa; Coordinator, Edo South NMA, Dr Ehizonaga Ivie; Chairman, Association of Public Health Physicians, Edo State Branch, Prof Andrew Obi; Executive Director, Edo State Primary Health Care Development Agency (EDSPHCDA), Dr Eseigbe Efeomo; Dr Christopher Ehiaguina Eigbe; and Dr Clinton Egbadon.
