The Frederick Isiotan Fasehun Foundation (FIFF) has called on all Nigerians to strive for the country’s unity and support the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as he navigates the Nigeria’s ship through the stormy economic weather, turbulent waters of insecurity, inflation, unemployment, multidimensional poverty as well as corruption, which have bedevilled the fabric of our once upon a time great nation.

A statement signed by its Executive Director, Oluremi Fasehun, read: “Dr. Frederick Isiotan Fasehun died on December 1, 2018. It is on record the number of arrests, harassment and detentions in the most inhumane conditions he suffered and endured for the enthronement of our democracy. Like the man who saw tomorrow, he sacrificed his comfort, shouted out loud that we only have one Nigeria to call our own.

“So, it is our duty to make the country work. All in all, till his last breath, Dr. Frederick Isiotan Fasehun’s love for the country never waned.”

“Fasehun, a medical doctor and activist, was one of the pioneer members of the National Democratic Coalition (NADECO), a human rights group that fought the then military government for restoration of democracy in Nigeria

“The foundation use the solemn remembrance to congratulate the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on his recent victory at the Supreme Court, affirming his success at the presidential election

“As the Founder of the Oodua Peoples’ Congress (OPC), a socio-cultural platform formed for the emancipation, the fight for freedom from oppression and the need for expression in our nation state made a laudable impart on the Yoruba race and Nigerians worldwide.”
