“Rather than compete with one another, which could be counter productive, improve yourself with skills and be authentic. Appraise yourself consistently to see noticeable achievements as you get into another year,” he said.

The commissioner, spoke in Uyo during birthday celebration of staff members of the Ministry born in March. He urged civil servants, particularly the celebrators, to strive to become better persons with significant achievements in self-improvement, positing that birthdays are opportunities to become better that the previous year.

Earlier, the coordinator of the event in the Ministry and Director of Public Relations, Mrs. Grace Akpan, expressed appreciation to Ememobong for remaining committed to staff welfare and wellbeing even as the administration winds down and in the face of cash crunch in the society.
