The Lagos Pacific Lions Club of the Lions International, as part of activities to mark this year’s Valentine’s Day, paid a visit to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH).

Led by the Lagos Pacific Lions Club Project Chairperson, Franca Afe Giwa, the visit tagged “Let’s Celebrate Love and Raise Awareness On Pediatric Cancer At LASUTH” saw the club donating items such as bedspreads, toiletries and cleaning substances among others to the unit of the hospital.

The club’s immediate Past President, Dr Nasir Olatunji said the gesture was in the spirit of Valentine. “The Lagos Pacific Lions Club is here at the LASUTH Pediatric Cancer Unit to give this token as part of the Cancer Awareness of the Lions calendar. We are privileged to render these small things to our community. No matter what you see here, it is just a tip of the iceberg. We will always be coming….”

So, on behalf of my president Lion Rasaq Anita Yemisi PMJF, NLCF, the entire board of directors and members of the Lagos Pacific Lions Club, we present these items to the LASUTH Pediatric Cancer.”

Head of Unit, LASUTH Pediatric Cancer, Mrs. Obaba Esther Titilayo, expressed her joy over the items donated by the club. “Thank you very much for all you have been doing for the sick patients especially the cancer children in our department. We appreciate you and we pray that God will continue to enlarge your coast, the union will continue to grow higher and higher. By this time next year, you will be here with more things and the children you are donating for, God will heal them perfectly.”
