Borno lawmaker to distribute food to constituents during Ramadan

A Borno State lawmaker, Muktar Betara Aliyu, has announced plans to distribute foodstuffs and cash to thousands of households during the holy month of Ramadan in 2025, continuing his tradition of generosity.
Aliyu, who represents Biu, Bayo, Shani, and Kwaya Kusar Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, said the initiative is aimed at alleviating hunger and ensuring that families in his constituency observe Ramadan with comfort.
The food distribution programme, which will commence in Shani Local Council, includes essential items such as rice, sugar, and money. It is targeted at the most vulnerable members of the community, especially Muslim families observing the fasting period.
Aliyu has consistently demonstrated a commitment to the welfare of his constituents, previously providing palliatives during the subsidy removal period. His efforts to support his constituency have earned him commendation.
“Together, let us make this Ramadan a time of abundance, empathy, and goodwill for all,” Aliyu urged.
