Bags Entrepreneur of the Year
Chairman of Citygate Homes, High Chief Duru Mike Ejiogu (Onowu of Igboland), has been awarded the Entrepreneur of the Year by Sun Newspapers Publishing Limited.
He bagged the award at the 24th edition of Sun Annual Event held at the Expo Convention Centre, Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Ejiogu received the awards alongside other 34 distinguished business captains, industry experts, and political leaders including two financial institutions— in recognition of their contributions in critical sectors of the economy.
At the event, Ejiogu was presented the award by the Chairman, New Nigeria Airlines, Prof. Obiora Okonkwo, and founder, Sun Newspaper, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, celebrating a career defined by vision, resilience, and transformative leadership.
Under the theme “Celebrating Uncommon Achievers,” the award elevated not just his achievements but the standard of excellence for the country’s emerging entrepreneurs.
The ceremony, chaired by Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Air Peace Airlines, Chief Allen Onyema, attracted dignitaries from across the country which include: representatives of the President of the Nigerian Senate, Sen. Godswill Akpabio, Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Jibrin Barau, State governors, Dr. Peter Mbah (Enugu), Dauda Lawal (Zamfara), Abba Kabir Yusuf (Kano), Bassey Otu (Cross River), Dapo Abiodun (Ogunsola) and Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Oloyemi Cardoso.
Also, ministers, diplomats, traditional rulers, and leading industrialists also graced the occasion.
