E-LAWYER Nigeria is partnering with Miva Open University and Ascend Global to host its 2026 career fair festival.The event will hold on September 8 at Miva Open University, Yaba, Lagos.

Launched two years ago, the festival was designed to address one of the most pressing challenges facing young professionals and graduates across Africa: the gap between talent and career opportunities.

More than a traditional career fair, the festival will create a platform where students, graduates, young professionals, employers, recruiters, entrepreneurs and industry leaders can connect, learn, network and explore opportunities for career growth. The partnership with Miva Open University brings the education sector into the conversation around employability and the future of work. The organisers say there is a growing need to ensure that education and industry remain closely connected.

The partnership will create opportunities for participants to explore the relationship between education, skills development and career readiness while encouraging young people to think more intentionally about the skills and experiences required in today’s economy.

Ascend Global’s participation further expands the festival’s focus beyond traditional career pathways. With African professionals increasingly participating in a global labour market, conversations around international opportunities, professional visibility, leadership and career mobility are becoming increasingly relevant.

The partnership is expected to contribute to the festival’s broader objective of helping young professionals understand and navigate opportunities within and beyond their immediate markets.
