A gospel artiste, Timileyin Ajayi, has been arrested by the Nasarawa State Police Command after being caught with the severed head of his girlfriend, Salome Adaidu.

The incident occurred on Sunday, January 12, in Agwan Sarki, Orozo, near the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Ajayi’s arrest followed a tip-off that led security agents to an uncompleted building in the area, where they discovered the severed head in a polythene bag.

During interrogation, Ajayi, who also presents himself as a motivational speaker on TikTok, confessed to the crime.

In a now-viral video, Ajayi explained that he had been in a relationship with Adaidu for one year before her death. He stated that the couple had a heated argument during which she attempted to stab him with a knife.

Ajayi, who released his album ‘God of the Earth’ in 2020, also revealed that the rest of the victim’s body was found at his residence.

Nasarawa State Police spokesperson, Nansel Ramhan, confirmed the incident on Sunday. He said the suspect was rescued from an angry mob and that the human head was recovered.

A search warrant was subsequently executed at Ajayi’s residence in Papalana, Karu Local Council, where the body of the victim was found.

Ajayi was taken to a hospital for treatment and will face prosecution after his recovery.
