Gwani urges Christians to express gratitude through action

The Pastor of the New Apostolic Church for the Northern Apostle Working Area, Apostle Geoffrey Jediel Gwani, has urged Christians to demonstrate gratitude to God not only in words but also through their actions.

He made the call during the Global Annual Harvest Thanksgiving Combined Service held at the District Headquarters, Wuye Central Church, Abuja, which brought together members from various congregations across the city.

Gwani emphasized that worship services are opportunities to acknowledge and appreciate God’s goodness, faithfulness, and abundant blessings.

Quoting Colossians 3:17, he said, “Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”

He also referenced Matthew 5:13-14, urging believers to ensure their words and deeds reflect gratitude and serve as a light to the nation.

In a statement, the Abuja District Rector, Priest Dabas Emmanuel John, described the service as a spiritual reminder for believers to remain thankful in all circumstances.

He emphasized that expressing gratitude extends beyond God to acts of kindness and compassion toward others.

John added that fellowship with God through prayer and communal worship is also a meaningful way to show gratitude.

The pastor encouraged congregants to devote themselves to serving God and humanity, noting that genuine gratitude is expressed through service, humility, and love.

The service concluded with fellowship among attendees, reinforcing unity and communal appreciation for God’s blessings.
