The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State on Community Relations (Igbo Community) Hon. Tallest Innocent, has lost goods worth millions of naira in a fire incident which gutted his wholesales distribution centre in Ibadan.

The centre located at the Alafara community, via NIHORT Iletuntun Shonshon road, Ibadan went up in flames on Saturday at about 7.00 p.m.

Though the cause of the incident was yet to be established, it took the intervention of the Oyo State Fire Service command which arrived at the scene to stop the fire from escalating.

Despite the intervention of the men of the fire service, goods and plastic beverages stocked up for the yuletide season were completely burnt down.

Recounting his losses yesterday, Innocent thanked officials of the state fire service for their quick intervention to put out the fire.
