He noted that as a Military Head of State, General Gowon navigated the nation through challenging times and ensured its survival as one indivisible entity.
The Governor recalled that General Gowon’s post-civil war declaration of “No Victor, No Vanquished” remains an enduring testament to his spirit of reconciliation and national healing. He said the implementation of the famous Reconciliation, Reconstruction, and Rehabilitation programme was instrumental in rebuilding Nigeria’s socio-economic fabric and rekindling the spirit of unity among her people.

He emphasized that as a proud son of Plateau, a true patriot, and a respected international figure, General Gowon’s legacy transcends politics and continues to enrich humanity.
