Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Dr. Mudashiru Obasa, has congratulated Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, OON, CON, on her 65th birthday, describing her as the “Mother of the Nation” whose philanthropy and political service have impacted millions of lives.
In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Dave Agboola, Obasa praised Mrs. Tinubu’s selfless service and enduring initiatives since her tenure as First Lady of Lagos State, which transformed the lives of youth, women, and vulnerable groups. He also lauded her achievements as a three-term Senator and now as Nigeria’s First Lady.
Obasa hailed her Renewed Hope Initiative as a life-changing programme that continues to empower Nigerians through education, poverty alleviation, and social support, much like her earlier New Era Foundation.
“Her work is not just about policies; it is about touching lives and bringing real, tangible change. Her commitment to the welfare of Nigerians is unmatched,” Obasa stated.
He described Mrs. Tinubu as a “pivotal force and foremost partner” of President Bola Tinubu in driving the Renewed Hope Agenda and said history would be kind to her for her empathy, resilience, and dedication to nation-building.
