‘Peacemaker’ stabs man to death in Delta

A 30-year-old man, Daniel Onyejekwe, has been arrested for stabbing one Christian Goodluck to death in Delta State.
A 30-year-old man, Daniel Onyejekwe, has been arrested for stabbing one Christian Goodluck to death in Delta State.
Onyejekwe, who was arrested in Sapele, on January 1, 2025, claimed that he met the victim assaulting his mother and attempted to intervene leading to a fight.
He allegedly stabbed the deceased with a broken bottle during the ensuing fight, which later led to Goodluck’s death.
The spokesperson for the Delta State Police Command, Bright Edafe, who confirmed the incident, warned citizens to control their temper.
Meanwhile, the state’s Commissioner of Police, Olufemi Abaniwonda urged members of the public to be law abiding and continue to support the police in the fight against crime and criminalities.
He assured them of the Command’s commitment to providing security, maintenance of law and protection of lives and properties, among other duties in the state.
