
A self-acclaimed thug of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State, Owoeye Olabode, has been arraigned before a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja over alleged murder, armed robbery, possession of firearm among other allegations.
Olabode, popularly known as Bode Itaapa, was arrested in July 2024 by the operatives of the Osun State Police Command and was transferred to Abuja afterwards.
He was apprehended after two years of being declared wanted.Confirming his arraignment in a statement on Wednesday, the Public Relations Officer of the police in Osun, Yemisi Opalola, said the 32-year-old man was docked in charge number: FHC/ABJ/CR/323/2024 on five count charge.

“It would be recalled that Olabode Owoeye a.k.a Bode Itaapa was one of the suspects arrested and paraded recently by the Osun State Police Command at Police Headquarters, Osogbo for various offences before the case was transferred to Abuja as requested/directed by the Inspector General of Police (IGP).
“The Commissioner of Police, CP Mohammed Umar Abba, psc is committed to ensure the safety and security of all residents as the Police Command is working tirelessly to apprehend and prosecute anyone involved in heinous crimes in the State in order to make Osun State a sanctuary.”
