
The incident was reported to the Ilasan Police Division yesterday at approximately 7:20 a.m.
A friend of the victim stated that he received a call at around 5:32 a.m. informing him that Okafor had been stabbed by Kelvin.
Okafor was rushed to a hospital in Marina, Lagos, where he was pronounced dead by the doctor on duty.
SP Benjamin Hundeyin, spokesman for Lagos State Police Command, confirmed the incident and said the suspect had been arrested.

Efforts are underway to locate Okafor’s family.
In a separate incident, two suspected cultists were paraded by the police yesterday after being arrested in the Ipaja area of Lagos.
Alimi Abdulrasak, 18, and Eniola Shamsudeen, 18, both from the Oniwaya area of Agege, were intercepted on October 6 by an anti-crime patrol team from the Elere Division stationed at Agbotikuyo along Ipaja Road.
A search of their bag revealed two axes and two bottles.
