The Lagos State Police Command has arrested two men for alleged conspiracy, cultism and unlawful possession of a firearm. The suspects, 34-year-old Rilwan Shittu and 35-year-old Babatunde Femi, were apprehended on July 11, 2025, following credible intelligence received by the command.

Command spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin said operatives acted swiftly, arresting one of the suspects in the Alaba-Rago area while in possession of a semi-automatic pistol. He said further investigation revealed that both men are members of a cult group.

They are reportedly cooperating with the police to identify other members and recover additional weapons.
