The Lagos State Police Command has launched an investigation into the discovery of the bodies of two young men in the Igando area of Lagos.At about 8:30 a.m. on September 9, 2025, two unidentified male corpses were found tied together with a rope in a canal beside Arowolo Filling Station, along LASU/Iba Road, Igando.
The victims, believed to be in their 20s and 30s, had their faces covered with nylon, while their hands and legs were bound behind their backs before they were dumped in the swamp.
When The Guardian contacted the Lagos State Police Command, the acting Public Relations Officer, Babaseyi Oluseyi, said: “Police have begun investigations to determine the identities of the deceased and the circumstances surrounding their sudden and unnatural deaths.
“The bodies have been taken to the Mainland General Hospital Mortuary for autopsy.
