Political singer Kosan Waka dies at 47

Renowned political singer, Muhammadu Buhari, popularly known as Kosan Waka, has died at the age of 47.
 
In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, described the late entertainer as a patriotic son of Katsina State who made Kano his home and used music to promote unity, culture, and public enlightenment beyond political interests.
 
According to the family, Kosan Waka was buried on Sunday in Tsanni Village, Batagarawa Local Council of Katsina State.
 
Governor Yusuf extended his condolences to the deceased’s mother, family, friends, associates, and admirers, praying to Allah to forgive his shortcomings, grant him Aljannatul Firdaus, and give his loved ones the strength to bear the loss.
 
The governor noted that Kosan Waka’s immense contributions to political communication and Hausa entertainment would remain an enduring legacy.
