The Proprietress of The Pottersland School, Busola Olanubi, has linked qualitative education to national development.

Speaking at the maiden graduation for its Year 12 students in Lagos recently, she noted: ‘I firmly believe that many of the challenges facing our nation are rooted in deficiencies within our educational system, and that quality education is fundamental to national development.’’

Congratulating the Class of 2026, she urged the graduates to be worthy ambassadors of the institution. Olanubi further paid glowing tribute to her husband, describing him as a dependable pillar of support whose encouragement and partnership helped sustain the vision through difficult times and reflected on the institution’s humble beginnings and expressed gratitude for witnessing the graduation of its pioneer senior secondary school class.

Adeshina Olugbenga Okunubi urged the graduating students to remain true to the values instilled in them, stressing that success is built not only on academic excellence but also on integrity, discipline, faith, and character.

Chairman of the occasion, Otunba Sola Adewunmi, advised, “you are the first ambassadors of Pottersland College. History will remember you because you are the pioneers. Wherever you go, carry the name of this institution with pride and let excellence define you—not only in academics but also in character, integrity, compassion, and service to humanity.”

Delivering the valedictory speech, the school’s Head Girl, Kuteyi Oluwafeyikewa noted, “we have grown not only in intellect but also in character. We have learned resilience, creativity, and how to support one another through challenges. None of us made it here alone.’

Established in January 2016 with just two pupils, The Pottersland School has grown into a thriving learning community of about 800 students. Located in Lekki, Lagos, the school is committed to providing quality education while developing learners with strong moral values and leadership skills.
