Rotary International District 9111 is set to hold the pioneer District Interact Conference with the opening ceremony on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at Digital Bridge Institute, Cappa -Oshodi, Lagos. 

Chairman, Rotary District 9111 Interact Committee, Fatimah Hassan, disclosed that, “ Pioneer District 9111 Governor, Dr Wole Kukoyi, the Chief Medical Director Ace Medicare Clinic will declare the conference open at 10 am”. 

Hassan stated that “ the Interact conference will feature inter-quiz debate competition; election of 2025-2026 District Interact representative-elect and board members; tour and sensitisation exercise by the Digital Bridge Institute; games, hygiene talk, team building and bonding and networking opportunities for the interactors and notable guest speakers to speak on Boundaries and Consent (Knowing when to say No) and Mental health lecture. 

Chairman, Interact Conference, Kayode Martins explained that, “Interact was founded by Rotary International in 1962 , to bring together young people ages 12-18 to develop leadership skills while discovering the power of Service Above Self.”

In his contribution, Rotary International District 9111 Interact Representative, Bello Yusuff stated that “ Interact Clubs are sponsored by Rotary clubs for teens between the ages of 12-18 and have energised and inspired young leaders through  service, and encouraged them to become responsible global citizens”.

Yusuff added that “the conference has in total 110 participants from Interact clubs within Lagos and Ogun States”. 

The Mother of the Day is the President Rotary Club of Ota, Iyalode Jackie Adunni Kazeem and Chairman Youths Service Committee D9111, Rotarian Tunde Olaniyan, as Chairman of the event.
