The Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Dr. Danladi Jatau, has assured the people of the Bassa community in the Kokona Local Government Area that Gov. Abdullahi Sule would construct the Dari/Bassa road before 2027.
The Speaker said this on Saturday at the coronation of Aren Eggon of Agwada and Fund Raising For the construction of the traditional ruler’s palace in Bassa, Agwada Development Area of the state.
The speaker said that Sule was a man of development, a listening governor, adding that he would construct the road to ease the plight of the people and boost socio-economic activities.
“You can see when we are coming from Dari to Bassa, the road is terrible and I am appealing to his Excellency to come to the plight of my people by constructing the road.
” His Excellency has done well and I believe he will construct Bassa road before his tenure expires in 2027.
” The construction of the road would boost agriculture, the revenue base and socio-economic activities as well as improve the standard of living of the people,” he said.
Jatau urged the people of the Eggon community and other Nigerians to continue to promote their culture for the overall development of the society.
He urged the people of his constituency and other people of the state to live in unity and peace and embrace forgiveness to move the constituency forward.
” As the rainy season commences, I want to urge you, especially the farmers and herders, to live in peace and unity with one another,” he added.
Jatau donated the sum of N3 million towards the building of the Aren Eggon Agwada palace.
He called on the people of the state to continue to support the state governor to succeed.
Mr Jonathan Gaza, member representing the Keffi/Kokona/Karu Federal constituency at the House of Representatives, who is the Co-launcher on the occasion, called on the people to promote their cultural values.
He was represented by his Senior Legislative Aide, Mr Monday Akpu and Mr Jacob Kudu (APC-Nassarawa Eggon East) at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly.
They also urged the people to live peacefully with one another for development to thrive.
Also speaking, Mr Gideon Affiku, the Aren Eggon, Agwada Development Area, assured of his commitment to lead his people with the fear of God and to promote unity and peace in his domain.
Affiku appreciated the speaker and other dignitaries for attending the event.
