A group of thugs in Fadigbe area of Chanchaga local council of Niger State has reportedly stabbed a driver of a bank in Minna, Mohammed Abo’ore.

Niger State Police Command, in a statement, stated that Mohammed was killed yesterday Sunday,20th April,2025 at about 10:45pm.

The police received information from a vigilante leader in the Fadikpe area of Minna that some miscreants were sighted around the Rafi area smoking cannabis.

The police said the vigilante members mobilised to the area to effect their arrest pending the arrival of the Police, while Mohammed Abolore, who is also a community member, volunteered to assist the vigilante men in the arrest.

Unfortunately, in the process of getting one of the miscreants arrested, Abolore was stabbed with scissors by one Nura Buhari and escaped. The victim was rushed to the General Hospital, Minna, where he was confirmed dead.

Findings from the area revealed that one of the miscreants Abdullahi Rabiu, was arrested and assisting the police with more information.

The community leader of Fadikpe, Mallam Danladi Musa Jibrin, who confirmed the incident to newsmen in Minna, stressed that the members of the community will ensure the arrest of the remaining thugs involved in the killing of Mohammed.

Haruna had earlier commiserated with the family of the deceased.
