It was a tragic scene in Barkin Sale community in Chanchaga Local Council of Niger State where a young man allegedly killed his father and buried him in a compound.
The 60-year-old deceased, Malam Abubakar Adawa Tsonga, had been reported missing in the community since July 29, when he was last seen at home. The Guardian learnt that his body was discovered buried in a cement sack in the early hours of Tuesday, July 30.
However, the body of the deceased was found with the head, legs, and some body parts missing. A community source told The Guardian yesterday that preliminary investigations revealed that his 29-year-old son, Muzamir Abubakar, was the prime suspect in the case.
Meanwhile, the suspect is in custody at Kpakungu Police Station amid investigations.
