NAHCON begins post-Hajj activities
National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), yesterday, began four-day post-Hajj activities, which will be concluded with a meeting of stakeholders and presentation of awards on Thursday.
The activities began with state pilgrim welfare boards, commissions and agencies meeting at Hajj House, NAHCON headquarters. This is to be followed by a meeting with licensed tour operators today.
Assistant Director (Public Affairs), Fatima Sanda, said the discussions would dwell on review of the 2022 Hajj, update on refund expected from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, reconciliation of Hajj fares, and Hajj Savings Scheme (HSS).
The host, NAHCON Chairman, Alhaji Zikrullah Kunle Hassan, congratulated all members for having participated in the 2022 Hajj. He said the commission had looked into the exercise and will forward its report to states for reviews and contributions, with the aim of arriving at a common ground.
He expressed hope that all stakeholders have learned lessons from the Hajj to avert future recurrence of mistakes.
