GOVERNOR Umaru Tanko Al-Makura of Nasarawa State has condemned the recent attack on Tse-Ikpur community in Logo Local Council of Benue State.

Al-Makura urged the perpetrators of such devilish attack to desist from such act and allow government settle down to provide the needed dividends of democracy.

Speaking through a press statement issued by his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Alhaji Ahmed Tukur, the governor described the attack as “wicked”, and an act that would not be tolerated by his government.

Al-Makura, who urged the security agencies to investigate the attack on innocent Nigerians, called for increase in surveillance along border communities to avoid spread of the attack to neighbouring communities and states.

He advised concerned parties and individuals to desist from killings and destruction of property in times of disagreement, but to seek dialogue and constitutional means of resolving differences.

Al-Makura said that as neighbours to Benue State, the people and government of Nasarawa State share in their grief and warned such perpetrators to stay clear of Nasarawa State.
