TO educate the public on the performances of President Goodluck Jonathan and the need to be re-elected, a group, Citizens Network for Peace and Development in Nigeria, has put together the economic achievements of the administration in a book.

Addressing journalists Friday, the Director General of the Organisation, Comrade Preye Dressman, said the achievements, across all sectors, have been verified by non-partisan individuals and presented in a single document for public assessment.

He said the book, titled, “Showcasing Goodluck Ebele Jonathan’s Monumental Stride: A Third Party Perspective,” chronicles those achievements sector by sector and state by state.

According to him, the book was as a result of the mid-term reports of Mr. President on his achievements, which were subjected to verification by third party who are not involved in politics.

He said: “As an NGO, we have looked at the book critically and found out that those acclaimed achievements are visible.”

He said some of the achievements were conspicuous in agriculture, health, aviation, and infrastructure, among others. He urged the electorate to cast their votes during the coming general elections based on the achievements of candidates.

Meanwhile, the publisher of the book, Barr. S. C. Ike, described the book as a mine of information about Jonathan’s achievements, which could be verified by the public.

The legal practitioner, who doubles as the Director General, Continental Equities (USA) said, “this book highlights some of the landmark achievements of GEJ’s administration, ranging from macro-economic management strategies, trade and investment, policies and interventions, infrastructure development, agriculture transformation agenda, Oil and Gas industry reform and the local content policies. The book also addresses foreign policy and economic diplomacy, ICT, housing and others.”
