The Kebbi State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has demanded an immediate apology from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for casting aspersion on the personality of Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu.

Addressing journalists yesterday at Government House, Binrin Kebbi, state Publicity Secretary of APC, Alhaji Sani Dododo, described the allegation by the oppositions PDP that Bagudu whisked away an APC politician from Danko/Wasagu Council, Alhaji Dan Musa Ribah, to prevent him from defecting to the PDP as mischievous and a calculated blackmail to smear the image of the governor.

Dododo also denied PDP’s claims that 6,000 APC members had defected to the party.

He said as the chief security officer of the state, it was belittling to say the governor would descend so low to carry out such action, saying every resident has equal right to security.

Dododo challenged the PDP to make public, the names of the 6,000 APC defectors to the party in Danko/Wasagu Council, warning the opposition party to refrain from politics of mudslinging and outright falsehood.
