Senator Mohammed Ndume has expressed optimism that he will become the next senate president, adding that his aspiration is in national interest.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) senator told newsmen in Lagos that he was in the race not to bargain for any juicy position, as he had consulted APC leaders, none of whom asked him to withdraw for anyone.
