NNPP not in coalition talks with any political party – Kano Rep. Jibrin
The House of Representatives member representing Kiru and Bebeji Federal Constituency, Kano State, Abdulmumin Jibrin, has dismissed reports that the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) is in talks with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) or other opposition parties for possible coalition ahead of 2027.
In a statement he personally signed on behalf of NNPP House of Representatives Caucus, he said: “There is no element of truth in the reports. It’s a blatant lie. Our party has consistently maintained a neutral stand that we are open for collaboration, alliance and even merger with the APC, PDP, LP and any other political party.
“However, there is presently no talk whatsoever that is ongoing and the party did not attend any meeting to discuss coalition or merger with the PDP or any other party. It is an act of mischief makers and should be regarded as such.”
