Commending Tinubu for initiating such a laudable programme, Imo State Coordinator of the council, Chizitere Ahubelem, in a press briefing in Umuahia, Abia State, also applauded the appointment of Orire Agbaje, a 400 level student of University of Ibadan, as a member of the Advisory Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax reforms.
He described the appointment as a demonstration of Tinubu’s desire to empower youths to become leaders of tomorrow, adding that appointing men and women of integrity as members of the loan committee would ensure the success of the project.
The Imo APC youth leader said that the president has shown he means well for the youths by signing the students’ loan law, adding: “Our worry is that there is a need to achieve positive results.
“We are, therefore, calling on the President to search for men and women of integrity to serve in the committee that will be in charge of disbursing the loan because, if handled well, it will become one of the milestone achievements of the APC for Nigerian youths. But if it fails, they will laugh at us.”
