Nigerian investment expert to speak at LSE Africa Summit in London
The Nigerian investment expert and CEO of Invictus Group, Obinwanne Okeke is set to speak at this year’s London School of Economics African Summit in London. The annual event hosted by the London School of Economics is currently in its 5th edition, brings together top businessmen and policymakers.
Okeke is a 2016 Forbes 30 Under 30 alumnus and is described as one of Africa’s most promising entrepreneurs. His business interest spans across a variety of sectors including renewable energy, real estate and construction. His current business focus has been in sustaining a high-end renewable energy line, Invictus Energy Solutions, with extremely durable solar panels and inverter applications. He has gone on to integrate renewable energy in company’s real estate segment, and has seen him build a cluster of homes that rely exclusively on renewable energy. In May 2017, The African Brand Congress awarded the Invictus Group of Companies Ltd the Africa’s Most Innovative Investment Company of the Year 2017 Award. And in October 2017, he was nominated for Africa’s most prestigious award for businessmen, The AABLA Awards, in the category of Young African Business Leader (West Africa).
He is a regular contributor to the Forbes Africa Magazine where he shares his thoughts on entrepreneurship and investment in Africa. His intervention at the Summit would be on the vital role of infrastructure in boosting SMEs in Africa, as well as the need for strategic continental platforms that unite African entrepreneurs in a way that grows their businesses beyond national borders.
The LSE Summit would be taking place between 20 and 21 April 2018 and other high level personalities to speak at the Summit include His Excellency, Nana Akufo Addo, The President of Ghana; Dara Tresder, CMO of General Electric Business Innovations; Mosun Belo-Olusoga, Chairman at Access Bank Plc; Adetola Kazeem Adeduntan, CEO of First Bank of Nigeria Plc; David Steinacker Senior Partner Manager at Google; Lance Mambondiani, CEO of Steward Bank, amongst others.
